No. Many conditions, such as early piles, fissures or mild gallbladder symptoms, can first be managed with medicine, diet and lifestyle changes. Surgery is only advised when it is clearly the best option for you.
Yes. Laparoscopic surgery is the standard of care worldwide for many operations. It has lower infection rates, less pain and faster recovery than open surgery when performed by a trained surgeon.
Laser treatment is far less painful than conventional surgery. It is done under anaesthesia, there are no large wounds, and most patients only need simple painkillers for a few days.
Laser and many hernia procedures are day-care, so you go home the same day. Laparoscopic gallbladder surgery usually needs one night in hospital.
Desk work can usually be resumed in 3–7 days after laser or keyhole surgery. Heavy lifting should be avoided for about 4–6 weeks after hernia repair.
Please bring any previous reports, ultrasound or CT scans, prescriptions and a list of medicines you take. Arrive 15 minutes early to complete registration.
Severe abdominal pain, a hernia that becomes hard and painful, high fever with jaundice, heavy rectal bleeding or vomiting that will not stop need emergency care. Call us or go to the nearest emergency department.
The cost depends on the procedure, the hospital and the type of anaesthesia. You will receive a clear estimate after your consultation, with no hidden charges.
